Tips for completing the game XCOM 2. Guides #005
The Chosen Warlock
The last member of this dream team is a Warlock. Despite the fact that he has a fairly powerful machine gun, his real strength lies in the forces of sound. They allow him to summon most of the usual enemies to battle - different versions of ADVENT, enemies (even Sectopides!) or animals. In addition, like any psonic unit in the game, it can control a soldier.
He also has two unique abilities. One of them allows him to summon from 2 to 5 zombie ghosts that appear on the battlefield and approach the player's soldiers. Then they become armed - after one turn or after death, they explode, causing damage to nearby units. Oddly enough, the Hunter can use this ability all over the map, even if the alien units don't have the vision of your soldiers. Another ability is similar, but it summons the Ghosts of a pair of ADVENT soldiers - they create a shield for the enemy that makes him immune to all attacks. The shield disappears only after all the ghosts are defeated.
When encountering a Warlock, the following rules should be remembered:
Remember that he will try to pester you with his ghosts even without an established eyesight.
Don't group your units - the Warlock has access to a powerful area attack that will gain many units.
If you know you're going to fight him, make sure your soldiers have items that offer some protection from psi abilities (limiting control), or you have your own, experienced psi warrior - this will drastically reduce the effectiveness of the Warlock.
Don't leave him about 20% health points, because then he will be able to use the ADVENT phantom summoning skill, which will give him a shield, effectively preventing him from being killed. If you can't refine it in one turn, reduce its health to about 50% and wait until another turn definitely kills it.
If he summons zombies and they become armed, move away from them before destroying the creatures; this will allow you to avoid damage.
If you have the Alien Hunters add-on, you can use Frost Grenade / Frost Bomb) - is she??Freezes the enemy for two turns, allowing you to easily get rid of the enemy.
Polygon Projects
Projects at the landfill are available only after you examine them in the laboratory. All the items available here are very expensive to craft (considering the fact that they all require an Elerium Core, which is quite difficult to obtain), but the result is worth it.
For each piece of equipment created at this facility, you will receive one unit, which you will give to a soldier - if you want to equip several soldiers, for example, with military suits, you will have to create several of them.
Note: In the case of experimental items (Experimental Ammunition, Grenades, Armor, and Weapons), each time you complete them, you will be given one randomly selected piece of equipment. This means that by creating Experimental Armor 5 times in a row, you can get all 5 types of ammo, but at the same time you can get 5 pieces of the same thing.
